Overview
You or your clients need to upgrade to the latest Teams Connector to address some of the issues outlined here. This page will detail how account services are enabled for sub accounts.
Checking Availability of the Service
Once the One-Click 2nd gen service has been added to your base Partner level account (which must be done by support), you will be able to add it to your client and sub level accounts and/or to new accounts.
All the changes shown on this page relate to giving the customer account the option to either always use 1st gen/2nd gen or allow them to choose between the two. No changes here impact existing services. You should only make 1 of these Service connectors available to your client accounts at a time. Therefore, when creating new accounts, please ensure other variants are disabled.
Existing accounts won't automatically have the new service. For example, our Sample partner has the 2nd gen connector available, but the existing customer account 'PC' still only has the 1st gen connector:
We can tick the 2nd gen option here to allow the upgrade instructions to be followed. Note that ticking the 2nd gen option does not start any upgrade process, it merely gives the customer visibility of the option at the point of adding a Teams service. It is a safe change to make.
New accounts we create will automatically get all available services:
If you untick One-Click but leave One-Click 2nd Gen ticked then the end customer will not be given a variant choice and instead will only be able to configure the 2nd gen connector.
It is safe to untick the original One-Click and enable 2nd gen One-Click on an account that is already configured. This will not remove the Teams service in place, but means that if the Teams service is removed and re-created (as per the upgrade instructions) then the new Teams service will then use the 2nd Gen connector.
How Do I Upgrade?
See this guide for full upgrade instructions.
We advise that all upgrades should be performed out of hours as retiring the existing connector will result in loss of service until users have been reconfigured and synchronization has completed successfully.
