Users are unable to login to the portal, with the following error:


The local device, or another computer elsewhere, has a Microsoft login window open somewhere, waiting for the user to log in to Microsoft 365 or Azure. 

The error is being returned to the portal by Microsoft Azure Directory during the authentication process. 


Complete the login to resolve the issue.


If the Microsoft login window cannot be found, rebooting the workstation or PC can resolve the problem.

If the problem persists or recurs, it may be necessary to clear the logged-in condition in the Azure Directory using this process:
