Overview
The instructions below explain how to invite an Administrator to an account or modify the associated roles.
Administrators of Client/Sub accounts are not able to make any changes that could result in financial or contractual changes.
Invite A New Administrator
Navigate to the account to which the new administrator will be assigned.
From the Account Tab, click the Invite Administrative User button.
The new Administrator can be invited either by Email or by copying and sharing a link to them:
A portal invitation will be sent to the email address provided.
Note:
This does not have to be an Office 365 email address as the invite will will contain an activation link to the portal.
However, an Office 365 user account is required for access to the Call2Teams portal.
Issue: Unknown Account Error
Users who receive an admin invite see the above error should try the following to resolve the issue:
- Log out from all Microsoft accounts
- Accept the invite in a private/incognito browser session
- Ensure they are using a supported browser such as Chrome or Edge
Check that admin access was granted for the correct client/tenant account.
Issue: Invite Not Received
Administration Invites are sent out at the point of account creation and normally sent to named Customer Services and Provisioning personnel.
After this step, Administrators can add further Administrators provided they have sufficient account privileges.
If a user has not received the invite, they are advised to check their Junk Email folder in Outlook and the Office 365 spam quarantine to see if the message has been blocked. See this article for more information:
Logging Into a Different Office 365 Tenant
To accept the invite whilst logged into a different Office 365 tenant to the one being configured:
Administrator Roles
Administrator roles must be assigned in order for an Administrator to be able to perform certain functions in the portal.
Note:
- Roles can inherit rights from Administrator roles assigned to 'parent' accounts.
- Roles can also have implied rights associated with other roles.
