Call2Teams - Customers

The instructions below explain how to invite an Administrator to an account or modify the associated roles.

Administrators of Client/Sub accounts are not able to make any changes that could result in financial or contractual changes.

Invite A New Administrator

Navigate to the account to which the new administrator will be assigned.

From the Account Tab, click the Invite Administrative User button.

A portal invitation will be sent to the email address provided.

This does not have to be an Office 365 email address as the invite will will contain an activation link to the portal.

However, an Office 365 user account is required for access to the Call2Teams portal.

Issue: Unknown Account Error

Users who receive an admin invite see the above error should try the following to resolve the issue:

  • Log out from all Microsoft accounts
  • Accept the invite in a private/incognito browser session
  • Ensure they are using a supported browser such as Chrome or Edge

Check that admin access was granted for the correct client/tenant account.

Issue: Invite Not Received

Administration Invites are sent out at the point of account creation and normally sent to named Customer Services and Provisioning personnel.

After this step, Administrators can add further Administrators provided they have sufficient account privileges.

There are occasions when the Microsoft junk/spam filtering can be overly strict, especially with new tenants where no traffic reputation has been built up.

If a user has not received the invite, they are advised to check their Junk Email folder in Outlook and the Office 365 spam quarantine to see if the message has been blocked. See this article for more information:

If the invite email has not been delivered then it is recommended that an existing Administrator send the invite to another address.

The new administrator should then click the link to log in to Office 365 with the correct tenant user

Logging Into a Different Office 365 Tenant

To accept the invite whilst logged into a different Office 365 tenant to the one being configured:

Right-click and copy the link in the invite email.

Paste the link into a private browsing session, ensuring that the user is not currently logged in to any Microsoft accounts.

Alternatively, have an existing Administrator use the Share option from the Add Administrator page to copy the invite link.

Administrator Roles

Administrator roles must be assigned in order for an Administrator to be able to perform certain functions in the portal.

  • Roles can inherit rights from Administrator roles assigned to 'parent' accounts.
  • Roles can also have implied rights associated with other roles.
